“In relation to National Labor Day, the implementation of the odd-even system on May 1, 2024 has been abolished,” wrote Instagram @dishubdkijakarta quoted on Sunday (28/4). Dishub DKI Jakarta explained that the odd-even rule abolished on International Labor Day is in accordance with the Joint Decree (SKB).
“Joint Decree (SKB) of the Minister of Religion (Menag), Minister of Manpower (Menaker), and Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) Number 855 of 2023, Number 3 of 2023, Number 4 of 2023 concerning National Holidays and Collective Leave in 2024,” he wrote.
Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 88 of 2019 in Article 3 Paragraph 3 also states that traffic restrictions with the odd-even system are not applied on Saturdays, Sundays, and National Holidays determined by the President’s Decree (Keppres).
Dishub DKI advises drivers to always obey traffic signs. Then, prioritize safety on the road and follow the directions of officers in the field.
It is estimated that around 50,000 workers from Jabodetabek will participate in the May Day action on May 1, 2024. The activity will take place at the Istana starting from 09:30-12:30 WIB.
