President Joko Widodo attended the 2025 Indonesian Science, Technology, and Industry Convention (KSTI) held at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). The event, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) in collaboration with ITB, aimed to showcase the latest innovations in research and technology.
During the event, President Jokowi visited various exhibition booths, including the “Flagship Research Products” booth from Padjadjaran University, where groundbreaking technologies like VR Dental Hypnosis and VR for Nurses were on display. After the exhibition tour, President Jokowi delivered his remarks at the Sabuga Hall, highlighting the importance of science and technology in driving economic growth and equity.
With the theme “Science and Technology for Economic Growth and Equity,” KSTI 2025 serves as a platform to promote a national economic transformation through research and technological innovation. The convention also focuses on key sectors such as energy, defense, digitalization, healthcare, food security, maritime affairs, and advanced materials and manufacturing.
This event is crucial in the government’s efforts to pave the way for Golden Indonesia 2045, emphasizing the importance of research and innovation in building a sustainable and prosperous future for the country.
